It's almost April Fool's Day, a good time to deeply ponder who/what is most responsible for turning or hallowed football program into a national joke. We all have our opinions, and I'm giving both sides a chance to be wrong.

Donna Shalala - She's to blame for us no longer playing in the OB, She can't keep a competent AD and, regardless if she let the AD decide, has hired and over payed 3 terrible corches.
 
The correct answer is the administration. Golden is the worst coach in the country but the fact of the matter is our last THREE coaching staffs were among the worst in the country.

Golden is an abomination but he's a symptom, not the actual disease. The don't give a rat's *** about football any longer...and it's clear as day in every major decision they make.
 
The irony of the administration's indifference to football success is that the school has co-opted the logo made famous by the football team and applied it to everything they can brand.
 
Agree with one thing Jedi said. It's the BOT fault for not going out and getting quality coaches that put together quality coaching staffs.

It's on the administration and the coaches. some kids have under performed but a lot of that is because of **** poor coaching.
 
Folden's fault for the putrescence on the field. Trust fund UM weasels' fault for not even trying to fix such an obvious problem.

Great programs have had long strings of horrible coaches, but they never gave up trying to fix their hiring mistakes. Bama hired more busters in a row than we have until they got it right. But they never gave up like UM has.

Actually this is what the administration wants. They hated football and want to destroy it. They never gave up until they did it. What we need is a accidental hire like Coach L to revive football. Just need a coach with a little ability and we will be back. One mistake by the administration and we win another NC. Only horrible coaching can fail with this type of talent.
 
Most of these options all tie back to 'Administration'. So by default, that is the correct answer.

Grossly disappointed that no one has picked: Players That Were Tossed Under the Bus

Throughout last season, Alfred Grolden deftly threw players under the bus. This last week, many porsters here continued that practice, against Duke. What gives? Although shameful, I thought this would be a popular choice among the SLURPER set.

I guess that retractions are in order regarding the players being at fault for losses. I'm anxious to see them posted, SLURPERS.

Last year's 6-7, with very good talent, confirms Gatorhater's comment.

Now the SLURPERS are all agog over Greentree performances, like last year, and the year before, etc.
