Okay everyone, in the interest of trying to de-clutter the board, I'm gonna try and get everyone to post their thoughts on Schiano in this thread. So any thoughts on if he's the best man for the job, if he's been out of coaching too long, if his previous rejection of Miami has any bearing on this search, etc. should be posted here. After say, 30 minute or so, I'm going to start deleting all the cyclical back-and-forth posts about Schiano that appear on the front page.

I will also create separate polls for Mullen, Butch, and Richt. Let's try to keep the discussion about their pros/cons limited to those threads.

Note - if there is legit info about the candidates and the current search, I will NOT delete it.

I'll start the ball rolling:

Greg Schiano

Pros - Record of success at a traditionally terrible program, ties to Miami, strong defensive mind

Cons - Rejected Miami before, seems to be the "least" of the four candidates, nobody liked playing for him

The team will be in shock going from golden to schiano. Schiano is intense. No ****gy pre season photoshoot or ice cream parties will be happening. Missed tackles and mental mistake penalties will have schiano yelling at players.

Thank God we didn't hire this ******* five years ago and he turned us down. Hes terrible **** to his players and has failed miserably after Rutgers

Poll needs a "Meh" option. But since it doesn't have that gotta go with "No" for UM's sake.

Ghost the question is a little vague.. Is he a good coach?? Id take him as a DC with no power but as a HC forget about it..
