Last night, after the Patriots-Bills' game, Ray said that he would take Rex Ryan over Bill Belichick. That statement should automatically disqualify him from having a say in the selection of a new coach for UM.

It's because he played for him with the Ravens when Rex was DC. It's just like all the UM alums saying Mario.. because they played with him or Butch because they played for him.

Butch isn't a bad choice at all. But that statement should show you exactly why you don't listen to alumni. You do your own thing and if it's new blood that is needed, you go get it.
 
Ray Lewis has to hate the Patriots. They ended his season numerous times. And Rex was his DC. I think you could take that with a grain of salt.
 
This is like players saying they would rather have Butch than Gary Patterson or something. (Butch isn't a bad coach and neither is Rex. Just not on the same level as Bill B or Gary Patterson)

ray is a pretty terrible analyst. he brings personality, but he's such a ravens homer (which i can't blame him for) that it's hard to take him seriously.

Ray needs to step away from the juicer and eat a frigging 36 oz porterhouse steak. I like but Rex has proven he cannot win. I hate, but Bill has proved all he does is win.
