I posted on here about playing with house money going into College Station... here we go again!

The thing is, in order for Mario to stay on target and keep this thing moving forward, we HAD to win at least 10 games and we had to make an improvement over last season.

A few weeks ago, I wrote that either we get into the playoffs and even if we lose, THAT is an improvement over last year OR we get screwed by the committee, play in a bowl, win, and get 11 wins for the first time since Jan. 1st, 2004. Outside of that, was going to be a disappointment. But now.... we got into the playoffs, and WON in the toughest environment on a day where several things went against us.

The truth is, if things had gone our way, we actually would've pulled away in the early 4th quarter and would've won the game by 2-3 scores, but hey, all's well that ends well!

Now, regarding multiple prognosticators thinking that OSU will face the same offensive output as what we showed against TAMU...

It's hilarious that OSU put up the same amount of points as we did in their last outing against a D that was not as talented as TAMU's, on a neutral field with ZERO wind or weather conditions, but everyone forgets this.

I've seen "respected" prognosticators predict that we get beaten 28-10 and 27-10. Look, anything is possible, but it's highly unlikely that we get handled by the *'s. We may get beaten, but I promise you that we will be in that game and I'm actually feeling good about it. When people doubt us, when our backs are against the wall, when are openly disrespected, this group of men will play their best and we are HEALTHY!!!

It will not be the same Carson Beck as the one they saw in that wind tunnel and Sayin will not have faced a DL like the one he's about to face. Also, the *'s DL, although very good, have not faced an OL of the quality and physicality like they will on the 31st.

Until proven otherwise on the field, I like our chances and believe we will prevail!

We're still playin' with house money, y'all, so pin your ears back and dominate on this business trip to Jerry World!

All the pressure is on the Buckeyes.
No one expected the Canes to be in this position a few weeks back. Heck, very few people here thought we would even be in this tournament.

We are playing with house money. And hopefully we have a strategy to run the table. But with any gamble it is not going to be easy. Lots of things have to go in our favor.

Make of this what you will, but thought this was rather interesting-

Offensive team rankings faced by UM and OSU to date:

vs Canes
  • #3 USF
  • #9 UF
  • #17 ND
  • #23 AtM
  • #32 SMU
vs OSU
  • #8 - IU
  • #33 - OHio
  • #39 - UW
  • #43 - Rutgers
Edit to include teams per @caneingville lol

Ok boss, I'll add, thanks for the extra work 🫡 will edit now lol
Haha sorry! I was just wondering if FSU was one of our higher offensive opponents, and it got me thinking about all the rest of them. I should have been more gracious in asking you to add the teams. Thank you for doing it and I am sure others will appreciate it as well!

The one thing I like about this game is that it's been a very long time since those guys played. We're a lot more battle tested....you can't get much more battle tested than walking into College Station and coming out with a win.

I could easily see them being pretty rusty for a half....IF that happens we need to be ready to pounce and cash in.
