As I went through the recruiting history of our new WR coach I noticed when he was at Louisville he recruited a lot of north Florida for the cardinals, so I expect him to do the same here. He was the man who recruited jet safety Calvin Pryor and recruited Titan LB Dieontrez mount.He also recruited former Louisville QB will Gardner and DT Deangelo Brown who was a key part of the d-line rotation the last two years. Obviously there's not a lot on USF but he's the lead recruiter for Darnell Solomon and Latrell Williams. Also a name to look out for is Armunz Mathews, he's an 5'11 196 Pd athlete out of Tallahassee committed to USF who's favored at CB but can line up at WR and RB. I personally think he's a little too slow for CB but I believe he can be a starting safety for us in the future if recruited. He's instinctive, has no problem cracking some pads, and has a thing for causing fumbles. Ron Dugans is surprisingly the main recruiter of 2017 CB prospect Trajan Bandy for USF and I'm pretty sure he's also connected to Nate Craig Myers and his brother jayvaughn, as well Jacob Mathias so if we were to make a play on any of them he would be the one leading the charge per-say.

Sorry but what's the point of these player comparisons? You're comparing a bunch of kids who have never played a down of college football to NFL regulars.
 
I am on the fence about this hire. Per his resume he has paid his dues and does have more experience this is true. To his credit that Louisville team that beat us and sold us out in the Russell Athletic Bowl had some really good WR play and he was the coach of that group (Michaelee Harris, Eli Rogers, Parker and Copeland) to name a few.

As stated above I would guess his recruiting territory is within the circumference of his hometown Tally. I-10 JAX thru TAMPA.

It's hard to give Dugan's credit though for anyone listed above recruiting wise at Louisville as Charlie Strong and Clint Hurtt were leading that charge (recruiting wise) but as far as WR play they had a solid group at Louisville.

Darnel Salloman looks really good to me but a lot on this board don't like him. He recruited a stud up my way Chris Bahr from Trinity Christian flipped him from UTAH at the last minute and this kid was one of the top three players on a very talented Trin. Chrisitian team considered a power house in FL. 3A

I dont believe he's much of a downgrade from Beard but not much of an upgrade either. I think maybe Richt is comfortable with him having coached him and Beard may have a victim of circumstance wanting to purge the entire group from previous season.

I anticipate Rumph to be responsible for S.FL recruiting and Dugans I-10 from Jax to Tampa.

Some people don't know other hs/college athletes to compare them to so they use pro. I don't see anything wrong with it. I usually take their comparison of an nfl player and try to remember guys with the same skillets from 90's to now in college. I don't know how everyone else does it. Just my interpretation of the situation in my Andre3000 voice
 
would love to see us go after Darnell Solomon! We already have a great WR class coming in, but none have to potential upside that he does. Most risk reward of all, but you can make that gamble when you have a bunch of studs coming in already.

Didn't Solomon get in some trouble when he went to a camp is GA, Think it was for stealing or something, i could be wrong though

I want the players UM has been going after at WR; Bruce, Richards, Mullins and give me one more.
 
Tbh Marlon Mack their running back is more explosive than anyone we have on our roster at the position IMO. He is REALLY good

I gave the comparisons based of their measurements and what they excel at so I can try and give you guys an idea more than a comparison
 
It's not a fair comparison imo. Miami attracts much better talent than USF. He'll have a better track record here regardless just because richt and the school

yea def he had a total of 12 players and only three deserved schollys from us
