Pitiful. Absolutely pitiful.

Years ago, I lived in Summerville, SC for a period, my son was in Pee Wee football. Leaning against the fence watching a game - John McKissick stepped up alongside to watch the game as well.

John McKissack was the high school football coach at Summerville. I jokingly asked if he was scouting - and he was dead serious when he said, "You better believe it. I want to know what's coming up - have to know what I can feed the machine with."

Pee Wee! Scouting! Working the players - working the parents.

It apparently worked - he's still to this day, the winningest HS coach ever in America.

Because it’s no longer the best football state in America no matter how many kids are drafted a year. In fact I can make an argument that we should have more drafted a year. Want proof? Look at Bama, Clemson, UGA, OSU, and LSU. Florida player, and in particular players from SFL, are becoming less and less common because they’re arrogant and lazy. They think they’re better than other people just because they’re from, commit stupid penalties because they have no discipline, and it’s taking longer and longer to develop them because they’re being played out of position and it’s not the “safety to LB” or “WR to CB” type of moves.
Not to mention coaching isn’t as good as in places like Texas, CA, GA, etc…

CANES ➡️ 6-5

fsu ➡️ 5-6

uf ➡️ 5-6

Also:

UCF ➡️ 7-4

USF ➡️ 2-9

FAU ➡️ 5-6

FIU ➡️ 1-10

No teams in the AP Top 25 or even among others receiving votes.

Two coaches fired. Two more could be about to walk the plank (one **** well better be).

How did this happen in arguably the best football state in America?
Remember when there were only 3 college football teams in the state? Remember when only 1 had National Titles?

No big time recruiters in the state anymore at the big 3..

Why it’s a very important hire for Miami.. UF & FSU for what ever reason just stop caring about recruiting S.Fla like they use too.

Also I’m sure UCF will jump to a big conference here soon.. so don’t want them to start gaining real momentum.
UCF has been accepted to Big 12. Will be playing there in next couple of years.

No rosters filled with athletes.....the other schools dont need high level players they play garbage bags.

How much was he gambling on the games as is normal for Florida?

Intense competition but it look like Manny is the best of the lot.
That ain’t saying much. It’s like saying we got the smartest kid in the Special Ed. class. But if he didn’t start playing the youngsters…..🤷🏾‍♂️

It has been a very long time since one of the big three state schools in Florida have collectively been this bad. On top of it, all three have fallen into seeming disfunction.

Something in the water.

With Jacksonville and Fl A&M included plus the top teams taking out talent, Miami fsu and the gator cannot maintain the talent that made them the big 3 in Florida. How deep can the talent pool go...what other state has near the number here? It's the reason we need national recruits to compliment local recruits. You know, like TVD

So I chose Bama’s roster since they are consistently the best team and Georgia’s since they are the best this year, I didn’t want to go through all of them. Breakdown by state:

BAMA
AL 45
FL 17
TX 15
GA 10
LA 5
CA 5
SC 5
No other state had more than 3

UGA
GA 64
FL 12
TX 6
CA 6
AL 5
SC 4
TN 3
No other state had more than 3

So not sure your argument about FL players holds much water there. Both of those teams have the second most kids from FL out of any state on their team. The thing that surprised me was just how many in-state kids they each have, it then again they don’t have the competition we do in-state. But the argument is completely wrong and the college rosters, as well as the NFL draft, will bear that out.
I wonder how many of those “Florida” kids are IMG guys
