The No. 7 (1-0) Miami Hurricanes ran through the (1-1) Stanford Cardinal on Friday night with a final score of 45-6. Overall, it was a fun night. The Hurricanes offense showed that they're going to be one of the most explosive offenses in the nation as the defense held Stanford to zero touchdowns.

After the obliteration, Pro Football Focus reflected on the win, grading each Hurricane that played in the game. As we all might've guessed, quarterback Darian Mensah (92.6) and wide receiver Malachi Toney (92.2) were graded the highest. Defensive lineman Marquise Lightfoot (72.5) was the highest rated defensive player.

The overall offensive numbers are slightly higher than the defensive numbers.

 

Trading Jakobe for Fitz was a definite downgrade in terms of physicality and hitting. The one thing that slightly concerned me was that I expected that trade off with improved coverage. Not sure we got that either.

But it’s week one on the other side of the country.

Fitz can play a sideline to sideline center field. We can run 1 high safety with him, allowing JJ and Omar to play closer to the box, so not concerned with Fitz’ physicality at all, don’t need that

That’s what I saw him being as well.
