I’m in town from the Midwest bringing my son Kane to his first Hurricanes game. Two questions:

1. Which of these yellow lots are better to park in?

2. Does anyone have a kid friendly tailgate that we could crash and throw some money to?

*NOT* *NOT* *NOT* the big one (13/14) on the map. Absolute nightmare on the way out of the stadium from that lot.

I park in yellow and have been for many years. See my pic below. I park in #1 (Southwest Corner). Smallest of the yellow. Best to get there earlier. Really easy for me to get in and out especially after games. Easy walk to my seats in the WEZ. If coming from Southwest Miami via turnpike, best lot to park (off turnpike, take 27th Ave south or if coming from the south via 27th Ave, it’s right there).

#2 is second option (biggest lot but far away walk. Easy to get in and not bad getting out as it gives you options to Tunrpike North or South. If you are coming from Miami or FLL, best one to park.

Avoid the 2 yellows in the south not marked. Nightmare to get out, typically as all traffic is forced to go east toward Turnpike south (which is a bad traffic jam) or going through the Miami Gardens neighborhoods. Especially bad during big games where the stadium is full.

Stanford game will hopefully allow us with kids to leave earlier. I am taking my 10 year old daughter for the first time. So I am not tailgating.

Enjoy the game and experience.

for kid friendly tailgate, go on the UM site and try to get tickets to their tailgate. its going to be the most kid friendly environment complete with food, soft drinks, beer, wine and seating.

I haven’t parked in that one this year yet. I would suggest leaving at latest with 5 minutes left in the 4th if it’s a blowout. He should be fine getting out.

Agree for yellow
Lot marked #1 is best

You can probably buy an Orange or Green pass for $50 or less. Do that

Awesome! Did you park in Zone #1 that I labeled?

Hope you enjoyed it. My 10 year old daughter loved it and wants to come back.

Yellow # 17 and 18 are just absolute nightmares.

Walking over the bridge on NW 199 Street is just a waste of time.

Yes I did. It was super easy to walk in and easy to leave at end of the game

My son got the all of the basketball teams autographs too at the FanZone area before the game

I bumped into Ed O and said what’s up in the same area
