Historically these young QBs get softballs the first week or two to settle into starting roles. I think we are just seeing the difference with them vs real competition instead of insert FCS school here. If they are still trash week 4 then sound the alarms. That being said 2026 QB1 better be from the portal.

That or some teams are financially handcuffed to unproven QBs which prevented them from getting a proven portal QB.
