How many random posters have we seen in the last few weeks start a thread stating something along the lines of the following? “If we don’t find a coach in time, how would you feel if manny stays one more year?”

Answer: Multiple. I can recall about 3-4 separate threads created by lurkers essentially putting feelers out on Manny potentially staying another year.

I stated in an earlier thread that certain people will do anything to give Manny another chance, and that I feel it may be possible that they are feeding bull**** information in order to please the masses. Don’t get me wrong, Cribby is as accurate as it gets on here. But I’m sure he’s getting his information from people within a certain camp or faction on the inside.

I think it’s quite clear that there is another group advocating for Manny, and I’ve warned multiple times we may be getting screwed here.

Clearly, there’s people with a vetted interest in Manny staying posting on this site. To even think that it would be plausible to keep this failure at the helm of the program for one more day is ridiculous. He should’ve been fired weeks ago, regardless of failure Blake James’ fate. But it still hasn’t happened.

Just remember. And don’t underestimate the BOT, the pressure needs to be turned up now. Can’t be satisfied with Blake gone.

The decision regarding Manny will be up to the new AD. The BOT will. cleanse their hands as it's easy for a new AD to just say we want to go in a different direction (winning).

I don't see Manny getting another year unless we absolutely can't find an acceptable HC. I've been one to say I don't want to hire another Manny Diaz like coach for another 3 years setting us back 6 more years.

I don't want Diaz here anymore. The more I look at his lack of detail in his preparation and execution just infuriates me. The man doesn't even have a defensive call sheet!!! He's just calling defensive plays off the top of his head and his lack of game management is atrocious.

I've come to the conclusion that he's just not a good coach. Doesn't listen to his assistants. He has an unwillingness to change himself. Instead he keeps trying to prove his defense and gameplan works. Specifically, falling to call timeout on 4th & 14 to make sure everyone knows what they're supposed to do. Calling the same defense on 4th & 14 that we saw against Pitt on 3rd & long when the same DB let the WR run across his face wide open for a TD. The only difference is we won the game. Otherwise, we would have been talking about that play costing us the game. Last, faing to let FSU score from 3 inches out so we could have a full minute with at least 1 timeout to mount a drive to at least tie the game. NOPE!!! This man doesn't call timeout out on 4th & 14, then wasted them on 1st and Goal from 6 inches out when we only had 2.

I'm just done with Manny Diaz.

Ironically, I watched the VT press conference from their AD after he fired Fuente. He was asked if VT would consider a 1st year HC. He said, "NO, coaching at this level is just too much for a 1st year HC to bite off. He need to cut his teeth at the G5 level."

Wait, wait, wait...

Why did you put a post of me in here? I am confused lol

Saw posted in another thread if Manny gets fired and Mullen is retained that he may go after Manny for DC. It would be ideal if happened and all of his sycophants who are bigger fans of him than the program followed him there

Yup, it's everywhere, not just on this board. This is how politics works, this is how they sway or soften public opinion. That's what we are are, a politic machine. I know a lot of people will laugh and stuff, and that's fine. When it's right out in broad daylight people are just like, oh business as usual, nothing to see here. They wouldn't actual do that all the while it is actually happening. No biggie though. He still won't get another year.
