It is a REALLY weak year in the state of Fla?

Of course you have some IMG kids

But in previous years… We had more offers out to Jax, TBay, and Orlando kids… We've been heavy in Orlando in recent years, our recent classes had multiple C.Fla kids in it. And even if weren't offered there were kids we were taking hard looks at.

This year:

TBay Offers: Henderson, maybe Keller?? Checked in on Brooklyn Maxey, anyone else?
C.Fla Offers: Really not a commitable offer? We looked at Ards, Reed Ramsier, the DT KRV… David Coleman a little early. But I don't believe any of these kids can commit to UM
Jax: No one really. Top prospect is Malpress, maybe the CB Parks, probably watching the DT Outland.
Treasure/Space: Clear #1 was Tatum and we took him. We were involved with Monds but he was behind others
SW FL: Seem to be active here, but even then mostly backup plans (Lee) other than Johnson, if you even consider the keys SW FLA (not sure what to categorize the Keys as). We probably would have pressed Davidson if we didn't get Abrams.

We literally have a maximum of maybe 5-6 offers to Fla kids outside the tri-county?

-On the other hand, this is as deep a year in the tri-county as we've seen in the last 3-4 years. We only took two last year, but will likely have somewhere between 6-9 from Dade/Broward/PB.

Definite Offers: Lennear, Deroche, Matthews, Dawson, Gamble, Hypolite, Valarde, Gourdine, Jones
Offered and likely pulled back: Linton, Stevens
Recruiting seriously but probably need to miss on others: Finley, Vilma, Carey, Thompson, SBK
Others in Contact: Ramos, Alexander, Z.Davis,… A few others.

Made a couple small edits. But point still stands. Very few offers in-state this year outside of the tri-county where it's a strong year numbers wise…The rest of the state really weak, at least in CMC's eyes.

Talent or off-field issues?

Either way, this is the first time in a very long time that we need FL kids less than they need us.

I think you always have to recruit the elite players in your backyard, but I love how Mario & the staff are recruiting on a national level for big time talent. Miami is a national brand again, and the staff is recruiting like it.

I think it's safe to say talent is down over all

Was more an observation than anything though. And like I said above, Sofla tri-couty is as strong as it's been for a couple years now, especially depth wise.
