Let's be honest, people were second guessing the hire from the get go.

It's not that Manny is a bad candidate (he absolutely should have been considered, given what he did to the Defense in just 3 years), but it was the lack of interviewing other candidates. You don't run a business like that, so why is Miami doing that?

And don't blame Manny, he played it smart and was going after his dream job. But to allow Manny to leverage Temple over us just screams amateurism from Blake. Especially when you consider choosing a FB coach is THE MOST IMPORTANT decision AD will make. If Manny really was the best candidate after a decent search that lasted 7-14 days, you know 100% he still would have come here and left Temple.

The problem with that is the baseball program basically ran itself for decades, until 3 let the game pass him by. Even then as long as he made the postseason and kept the streak alive everything was good enough. Honestly he lucked into Gino. I don’t believe he was the best option, but the team is so young and so talented he’s set for the near future. We won’t see what kind of coach really is until he’s been in charge for 3-5 years.

When it comes to Coach L, nobody really knows that they didn’t know who he was. He got the job and was a good hire, that’s all people care about.

The only issue in the forefront right now is football.
 
Organize a rally to express your displeasure of the athletic department. The media would take notice. You would also make a total *** out of the administration.

I’m not going to have Stefan Adams reporting on who ran over 20 mph in spring training if they lose their credentials :(
