Our situation vs. USC

USC is one of the few schools that can compete for a championship every year (much like Miami) based upon talent in its backyard - and the LA basin is a massive backyard with San Diego a surfboard-length away to the south...

USC can easily get back into it just like Miami can....

That is the lane kiffin they are talking about running the U. Some people are just embarrassing.
 
So, Pete had two assistants who were horrible replacement HCs. The players wanted one of them, the school the other. Sounds a lot like us, only Butch Davis left so much talent in the room that his useless, player preferred assistant could go undefeated two year in a row, win a NC and play in another one. Oh and he did that without leaving the school in ncaa **** --actually he did it while getting the school out of the ncaa **** a certain Dennis left it in. Now Butch wants to come back and get his own NC.

My take then is that believe it or not, USC's ADs are even worse than ours, plus Butch Davis is a million time better HC than Pete Carroll. Pete is more like Dennis -- win two and leave a disaster behind you. USC did not have a Butch Davis. That entire article confirms how lucky we are to have Butch waiting for the job.
