Is a physical unit... as long as we play the way we are capable of playing we will be in ANY game...
They show up in big time games. Have dominated a better oline than what clemson has to offer too when they demolished Notre Dame. IT will no doubt be a fight but I’m confident in our defense. Enough said....

IF we show up we can beat anyone. It’s that simple. We will show up Saturday.

Therefore, this game will be determined by which Rosier shows up. I tend to think Rosier and Bentley are comparable QBs, and Clemson completely destroyed Bentley. We have a better supporting cast than South Carolina, but they destroyed Bentley in that game.

They also made Stidham look like a clueless idiot. Granted, that was very early in the year, and maybe Stidham wasn’t comfortable yet. But he couldn’t do anything at all against Clemson and took about 11 sacks.
 
3rd down defense will be key. If Clemson is able to pick up 3rd and 3s all game, welp.........

Your first line says it all. It really is that simple.

I'll admit, I was in the (fan) tank for a few days after Pitt. We played so poorly it felt like we were a 6-6 type team again...just for a day or two. Just didn't make sense.

But **** that. Our D is nasty. And we have players everywhere. I'm still concerned about our O (I pretty much have been all year, and I think justifiably so), but we are what we are. Up and down, streaky, but dangerous on every single play.

It's on the whole team, obviously. But **** so much rides on Rosier's shoulders. That's assuming the D shows up, which I assume they will because they've earned that benefit of the doubt.

I'll give Rosier the same benefit because he's earned it. One game does not a season make. I say he steps up and does enough to win, whatever that is.

Precisely, Im confident in every unit but offense and solely because of Rosier. IF rosier can complete one big throw, early in the game. We can win this game. We have to keep Clemson crowd and defense from gaining momentum.

We can not win this game with Clemson defense feeling good and the crowd getting into it.

Richts going to have to come out swinging.

I hope he does a flea flicker and leaks Homer out to the flats. wide open td up the sideline to open the game!

We gotta keep Venables and Co. on their heels and always thinking

We gave ND all sorts of problems with its OL - except for the LG - he held his own very well against whoever was in front of him.

I think our DL will do well against Clemson (and theirs will likely do well against ours).

We need to get some points from our D. If we can do that, we'll have a good shot.

We can't have the offense getting all the points.

Hopefully we can get some points off of special teams, too - either ours or causing problems for theirs.
 
Can't have missed tackles on Bryant and have to keep Etienne inside the tackles. He has lightning speed and a future Heisman candidate IMO.

None of that slot receiver being uncovered/sort of covered by the linebacker. Need Bandy to lock down Renfrow.
