OT: USA Today College Football Head Coach Salaries Database

This is a good post. A wealth of information:

Taggert and Strong make $5 million? Brohm $6 million plus? Even small little Nortwestern pays Fitzgerald $5 million plus! Lovie Smith, $4million? UM really is a playing checkers when everyone else is playing chess.

Besides Butch, as my first choice, they should analyze below. That being said, the schools want tremendous buyouts for their contracts, particularly Gundy and Campbell. Every time intrinsic knowledge takes place, Butch looks better and better, as does Leach. They may have to go the NFL route and hire Chuck Pagano from the Bears.

Luke Fickle anyone?
In a heart beat. The defense would atleast be respectable. Good Pedigree. Chip on his shoulder because he thought he deserved the state job. Hungry. On his way to rebuilding the Bearcats. That would be an underated hire. Sad part is why take another stepping stone job. The next guy will look to land his dream job based on turning this around. A guy like Mario might actually stay.

Brain Kelly would be the perfect guy for this school. Will never happen but he has an edge to him. Need someone who will snap on the sideline. Also would love to see what he could do without the academic hurdles he has at Notre Dame. Problem is he has had so many scandals over the years. After so many years of being clean off the field would we take that chance.

Gundy is too expensive but would be very interesting here as well. We need a do more with less coach. Who could come in win 8 no matter who is on the roster then build from there.

Mario has already proven than he WON'T stay.

How by leaving Miami as an Oline coach to become a Head Coach at FIU. Then leaving to work with the greatest HC in the modern era? Then positioning himself at Oregon to become the future HC? Sounds like smart moves to me.
