OT: UF QB Franks likely out for season

I was watching the game with my friend that's a uf fan and said now yall have a chance.

I think the weak OL will catch up to the new QB. Franks was a lot more mobile. I'm guessing there is a reason they started Franks. Also a defense can get caught by surprise with a new QB who plays a different style. Lets wait at least 1 game before anointing him. Remember how good Perry looked against FSU last year?

It looks like Franks broke and dislocated his ankle. Definitely done for the season - wouldn't be surprised if he never plays for UF again. I read something last night that speculated Mullen may open up the QB competition now and let Trask and Emory Jones compete for the job. This is what Mullen said in his presser:

Mullen left Saturday night without establishing a clear starter going forward. In fact, he said both Trask and backup Emory Jones are likely to play for Florida with Franks out.
"Honestly we are going to play both guys moving forward," Mullen said.

Why do You think he won’t play for UF again? You think he’ll enter the draft? Or won’t get his spot back when he returns?

I’m not the poster you asked the question to but by the time Franks gets healthy the season is likely over. So next camp he competes with Trask (junior today) and the Chosen One and savior of all things Gator Football - Emory Jones (sophomore today). He won’t win the competition and might end up being third string.
