OT: Rewarding young men with a necklace when they preform well at volunteer sports may be sending the wrong message to our children.

I love a good preformance. When a kid preforms well he should be rewarded accordingly. Trajan Bandy preformed magnificently these past 2 weeks and he was rewarded for his fine preformances. He's really preforming well this season and I credit the necklace.

I agree, friend.

I thought the chain should’ve been retired after last season.

FSU’s “turnover backpack” is much more age appropriate.

I also feel passionately about positive reinforcement

But I wonder if the social responsibility of blending gender roles is too heavy a burden by having these young men grow long braided pony tails, and don iffeminate bright yellow gold necklaces.
