OT: Oregon TCU

Believe it or not, we are in better shape than Oregon for next 2-3 years. They completely ignored recruiting a QB to replace Mariota. Relied on 5th year transfer in Adams, and have zero depth. Might strike gold and get some wunderkind frosh qb next year, but unlikely as that is a tough offense to master in one year. Ducks fans are livid about the recruiting situation. On the other hand, we have kaaya for another year, a highly capable backup in rosier, and an incoming stud in Allison. Rosier would probably be a starter at Oregon and light it up with his athletic ability.

They have the best coach in the game. And he could have been ours 10yrs ago. C'est la guerre.

Patterson is undeniably great but I don't know if he would've stayed down here long.

Does not seem like a SFLA guy at all.

Just got 5th Year Sr. 1st Team AA FCS Montana St. QB Dakota Prukop. He ran a similar offense @ Montana St. under Chip Kelly protege Tim Cramsey (worked with Chip for years @ UNH & just hired as Nevada OC).

Prukop isn't the level of Adams but his transition should be eased because of system familiarity.

****, TCU down by 31 at half and wins in triple OT 47-41. Awesome second half by TCU

it helped vernon adams got hurt left game never came back. oregon sucks without him.

If Vernon doesn't get hurt, Oregon drops 70 easily. That team is AWFUL without him. Pathetic. Lockie should have been yanked and they should have run the wildcat with Addison.

One thing though....why the **** was Vern running the ball up by 31.....and why did he not slide? That's foolish. Bad decisions are what cost you games.

Relying on another senior transfer from FCS. Stopgap. If he could play qb well, I assume he wouldn't have been at Montana state. He might get them to another 9-3 record, but they need to develop their own guy. It's not a good qb situation.

I'm not implying that it IS a good situation for Oregon. I was informing you of their current situation as you stated "Might strike gold and get some wunderkind frosh qb next year, but unlikely as that is a tough offense to master in one year".

Prukop was 49th ranked QB 3* (ESPN) out of High School. Was very under recruited out of HS and didn't have any other commitable offers. He had his pick of Alabama, Oregon and Texas this year after he graduated from Montana St. this December. I think he's probabaly a little better than you're giving him credit for. And there are kids that get over looked and have to head to lower levels to prove themselves.

As I stated previously....I don't think he'll dominate or is even on the same level as Adams. I was just pointing out their current situation.

guys end up at fcs schools for diffrent reasons. some guys haven't h it there growth spurt and are 5-8 and at fcs grow to 6-5 , others play at really small schools in hs so are overlooked. its not always a talent thing sometimes its where u play and sometimes u haven't grown into who u will be.
