OT: Miami Bookstore

Has anyone ever had any grief ordering something from there? Tried buying a sweatshirt from there back in May and have had no success or update since. I understand it's not a normal order as it will be delivered internationally but it states on the website that should someone be ordering from outside the US that they will be contacted separately to provide information about the appropriate shipping charges/taxes and that will then have to be approved. The problem is though I am yet to receive that email and have since been ignored a few times. I was just wondering if anyone has any idea what I should do next and if someone else had any problems both domestically and internationally? Also, if someone knows where else to purchase this it would be greatly appreciated because I can't find it anywhere? Cheers

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the UM Bookstore website has been terrible since Follett took over. I have encountered numerous problems ordering from the site, to the point that I don't even use it anymore.

Obviously, that sucks if the Bookstore has items that HurricaneSports/AllCanes, etc. don't have, but I'm just telling you that I have had similar problems, even down to the "contacting customer service" and getting no response.

you should contact follett first since the bookstore operations are managed by them (essentially a contractor that sells our stuff using their infrastructure and management). the number to the actual bookstore is (305) 284-4101, but i don't know how far that will get you. to be honest, you'd be way better off ordering from caneswear or fanatics. the bookstore is a ripoff on 99% of things and has a pretty crappy selection.

Thanks, yeah i've been looking at fanatics quite a bit and would have most likely gone with them should they have had this particular item. Unfortunately not though, guess i'll just have to be patient and hope they eventually do. Thanks again

If I find a particular item (brand name), I just google it. You might be surprised by who offers it for sale. Sometimes I can find stuff on Amazon or eBay that isn't available at AllCanes.

Noticed Amazon had a hoodie like that and sweatshirts for other unis so ill keep looking. Cheers
