OT: Man walks on the moon

I worked for a buy-side fund in Atlanta for 4-years.

The CEO had his own airplane and was worth between $20 and $50 million. He openly discussed what players the Dawgs were paying for each given year. You should have seen how he spoke about players. He discussed them as if they were property to lease for 4-years. The "foundation" members were given a list of players and price tags. He said Miami players "are surprisingly easy to buy".

He said such "cheating does not impact the academic integrity of the institution"...... Right............

In fairness to Richt, they had to operate "behind his back". The CEO would lament that Saban "worked in tandem with the foundation, but they had to circumvent their own coach."

Belieama (sic) at Arkansas actively works in tandem with the Razorbacks' foundation. Not sure about the other programs. Vanderbilt does NOT play the game.

He was also furious about the price tag of the Miami, RB they signed.

I think they paid that cat $250,000, and they lost some recruits over it. Do not remember the particulars, but "word got out, other players wanted more.... They had not initially counted on paying so much..." That RB forced a re-sizing of the payouts.

UF and FSU are also dirty, but Dawgs, Tide and Arkansas have the most cash. Atlanta is US' 7th largest US city and 80% of that city are Dawgs. Bryant Jr's fortune is the direct funding for the Tide. Then you have WallMart, Tyson and JB Hunt funding the Razorbacks.

Miami is wealthier, but for some reason its elite eschews football.

This makes sense.

Vandy will always be okay with being competitive, but cashing in SEC checks. They're probably the only school in the SEC with an impressive academic ranking where if football were to be gone, they'd be able to sustain themselves in other avenues. Take football away from Bama, and what do you have? ****.

Goes right in like with how phoney michel can take 1 trip to Athens, and "fall in love" with the place after growing up a lifetime fan of the Canes.

I've been to Athens, it ain't that special. I felt waaay better after visiting Miami.

They bought that 'cat'.

Hard for me to work in that place being a MIami fan. We hated living in Atlanta. We were living in the center of the city - its most urban area - and it still felt like the Dukes of Hazzard.

Wife's godfather is on Arkansas' foundation. They also paid a Miami RB an obscene amount of money. Guy still laments that it was a "terrible purchase". Claims the "kid had zero heart".

Michel and Collins?

I remember Collins being pretty enamored with Bielema when he was still at Wisc. There was talk he might flip there. Once Bielema took the Arkansas job, Collins just followed him there instead.

Wisconsin ALWAYS "does things" the right way. They do not cut corners and they do not pay players.

Bieleama (sic) left Wisconsin because he knew they could never provide the players that Arkansas does. They almost fired him recently, and he needs to win "big" soon.

A Miami kid does not move to one of the coldest areas in the union. Period. Collins was not going to Wisconsin.

Collins was the "obese one's" main priority when the "fat man" landed in Fayetville. Have you been to Fayetville???

The RBs Dad also got paid as well.

Collins was trouble throughout his tenure. He also caused a stir after being drafted so low. He blamed Arkansas for his drop. Well..... Then do not take the money!

Since no one gets caught u have to cheat, it forces u to cheat cuz the police dont care either.
