I heard he has a house in the Houston area but it's still odd to me. Who voluntarily goes from a P5 HC job to a non P5 HC job? You're basically saying you have no desire to ever win a national championship. I realize it's a long shot at WVU but you at least have a chance if you win the Big 12.

He used to coach there didn’t he? Think WV was a bit tired of him interviewing for other jobs trying to hold them hostage for more $.

Houston would be the big 12 first look at expansion and DH knows that. They will eventually be power 5 as the big 12 will eventually add 2 more teams to get to 12

They also passed on Louisville at the same time. They probably won't expand at this point because there isn't anything worth a **** left to bring into the fold.

How are you defining "make more noise"? Unless they eventually join a P5 conference their ceiling will be losing to a 2 loss SEC team in a bowl game after winning their ****** conference.

You're looking at today. A year or three from now the playoff will expand. The Big 12 will expand. Houston has already been there on the brink with Herman. Should Dana do what I said, as I'm sure is his intention, then it's the much better job. He can recruit from the Houston Metro far better then he could the entire state of West Virginia.
