Brother Peep game!
@We the Boss - If it wasn't for the great athletes down there to carry some of these high schools to winning programs. The coaching down south would be actually horrendous . Some are not qualified to be coaching with the exception of some greats . This is just my honest opinion being in the game. I worked with, coach, trained and know a lot of coaches throughout the state. It was baffling how some schools down south don't teach players simple football analytics x's and o's.
They mostly tell these kids shoot up field or do this or do that instead of breaking it down and going through reads if nothing is there? No counter moves, no techniques etc.. They also tell them wrong things in life's well. -Peep the South Fla Mentality you seeing in kids nowadays. It's bigger than just football.
When actually the out of towners are making the crib gr8 again!
The grey beards are retiring and the foundation down south left to these young coaches is not up to par. Kids are being mislead, scandals, cheating and having underground tide$ to certain other college programs etc.. (<<< Yeah that part) . I could go on and on bout some things I experience but this is not a TELL ALL STORY and i'm not built that way ANYWAYS . It actually broke me inside to see this happening, so I got out the game before I move out of South Florida .
I had talk to my friend the other day who is a die hard Canes fan in Orlando . We were talking about recruiting. I told him that Head Coach Manny Diaz has a lot to cover and ground to make up to get kids to commit and stay committed to our program . This man will have to battle his own community! In his backyard. Is he fit for it? We will see but I do believe it can happen. He understands the city and plus his father helps in many ways in knowing the demographics. His approach will have to be different but a no nonsense (Howard S/ Jimmy J /Butch Davis ) Miami style recruiting tactic. This why I feel we are too young on staff now. He needs to hire more wisdom of grey beards on his staff IMO to compete .
Once these South Florida kids are transitioned and coach up in College Football We can see THEY BALL and what my old coaches used to say ; HAND THESE SPECTATORS THE NEWSPAPERS!
Just sad that we are witnessing on other teams.
