Espns Coaches Film Room during the CFP was great. too bad the ******* camera angle was ***, and it was designated to like espnu while that field pass bs was on espn2. Like it seems like ESPN is 100% against anything that can be in depth discussion. They choose to essentially treat sports like the WWE.
Thats the problem, but unless someone like FOXSports decides to try to go the more analyst route instead of the hot takes route, then I don't think anything will change. And the Coaches film room is the perfect representation of that. They have the rights to the CFP, so on ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPNU they are broadcasting different versions. ESPN is the normal broadcast, ESPN2 was the field pass, and ESPNU was the film room. What this shows is that they clearly view the BS "storyline" type of commentary on games over the actual analysis of plays during games. Otherwise Coaches film room would have been on ESPN2 and gotten better camera work (skycam!!!)
I personally think ESPN should almost exclusively show Sky Cam from behind the QB during all their football games. That would be awesome. I loved how they did it those few weeks for the nfl game. And they need to find analysts during games that are more like Tony Romo and jon Gruden.
