I know I'm late to the game, but cameo.com allows you to pay money to speak to athletes for 10 minutes. Looking at something for fathers day? Personally, I'm looking at buying my dad a session with Jim or Bernie.

A little aside from this, you can imagine NCAA kids being able to make money off services like these with the recent law being pushed.

Njoku for $105!?

He has earned ~$8M dollars in his career with another ~$8M coming in the next 2 years - why would you you bother with doing this for what probably comes down to less than $50 after Cameo's cut, whomever is running this for him's cut and taxes.

Probably some type of agency deal.

Cameo is not direct communication. The "celebrity" will record a personalized message and email it to you. Did one thru Ocho Cinco for my brothers birthday - was ok. For a 40th birthday, a ground sent our friend a message from Tasha Reign - was spectacular. Very cool platform.

Thanks for clearing that up as these make more sense then. It's a lot easier (and less awkward) to record a message for someone than to hold a conversation with them. Also means that you can do it when you have the free time and not be beholden to their schedule.

Still seems like it's kinda silly for some of these guys that make so much money. It's like when I see Joe Montana, Favre, and Jerry Rice doing commercials for copper mittens or whatever it is - you would think all of those guys have enough money not to be peddling snake oil.

But no...it’s about paying a million $100 for 10 minutes of face time ..smh

For the most part you're right, however, there are some people you can set up a zoom call with and talk for 10 minutes. Ochocinco is one of them, for $500.
