Another part of the story that I heard on a DC area radio station said the boyfriend of one of the girls was redshirting on the football team and when he approached Coach O, Ed said "girls cheat on their boyfriends all the time," or something along those lines. I guess, meaning "get over it!"

Thread title probably should just be the allegations. Orgeron is not yet in any kind of trouble.
I edited the title. I didn’t read the entire article but think I get the idea so please let me know if the title is ok?

I've always thought of LSU as a particularly 'renegade" program. And I've followed them since the Billy Cannon days in the late 50s. I mean, for one thing, high school education in LA (LSUs primary recruiting grounds) is ranked 48th of the 50 states.

According to USA Today, the former LSU redshirt freshman claims head coach Ed Orgeron approached the player about a year after the alleged assault to tell him he shouldn’t be bothered by Guice sleeping with his girlfriend. The player claims Orgeron told him, “everybody’s girlfriend sleeps with other people.”
There are so many questions I have about this. I'm not trying to help anyone out of hot water, but, this happened a year later? At random? This seems very curious to me.

Yeah it's fine. In the article it says that one of the girls that was allegedly raped said she was told that nothing would happen because it involved the football team. Then her boyfriend, who was a RS Freshman on the football team, said that Eddy O came up to him and told him it wasn't a big deal that Guice slept with his girlfriend since all the players' girlfriends sleep around. That's one of LSU's own players saying this.

saying someone is in hot water is basically the same as saying there's an allegation.
Well yes, the allegation is that the school is protecting its football players and not investigating rape complaints, then specifically against Eddy O, it's implied that he knew the RS Freshman was upset about something Guice did and told the player it wasn't a big deal (if he didn't know about anything involving Guice, why would he go up to some rando player and basically say "let it go, girlfriends are *****") You have national media and radio reporting on the story now, so I think "hot water" is an apt description.

Coach O used his wife’s head as a speed bag while at um

I’m you can edit it how you think it makes sense.

This is potentially major trouble of the Title IX variety which may not cost the things we care about on this site; scholarships, wins, etc..but can have a much greater impact on a university. If this info went up the chain of command and wasn't handled exactly the right way, LSU is facing months, if not years of terrible publicity plus lawsuits in the many millions.
Whether it costs Orgeron his job is almost irrelevant because the school will be a pariah. Think MSU. This will likely be really ugly.
I feel bad for the women but not for Orgeron or the school.
