Hurricane fan all my life but i didn't start attending games till around 7-8 years ago and i've never seen a game in the Orange Bowl. My question is, Where does the Notre Dame game @ night and FSU comeback rank in terms of live games in hurricane history?I want to quantify what i've witnessed.

The Rock @ Night (FSU game ended in darkness) just seems like it's going to start being a thing of legends. I can't rave enough about much those renovations improved that stadium. Of course big wins help too.

ND was like nothing ive ever seen really, but I think Richt's wildcat creative play calling in that game early helped set the tone, the play calling yesterday was so vanilla it killed the vibe to a certain extent

Equally as loud (if not louder) for big games.

The Rock is an elite home field advantage.

The rock has benn amazing lately. But nothing can compare to OB...especially at night. I remember that Game against Washington in 2001...that was an out of body experience. My cousin went on a lunatic fringe after one of the dlineman ran into endzone after a sack...was epic....The west end zone was my escape from normal everyday life. There is a reason the U was unbeaten there for like 10 years and we still hold the NCAA record for most consecutive home wins.

Notre dame last year and fsu last night were great games. But nothing compares to old school canes in the Orangebowl the orange was just crazier plus I went through my whole twentys without losing a game

The fog of history will always make the OB seem like something that can't be replicated. It can be, and Hard Rock has been extremely similar. The renovations have done a lot for that building in regards to atmosphere. Seats are more on top of the field than they were before, and it looks like a football stadium now, instead of a glorified multi-purpose facility.

That, and I like the fact that there's a legit tailgating culture around Miami football now, the OB didn't really have that, it was more "Come, go to game, get rowdy and leave" thing.

This Orange Bowl stadium use to actually shake.
I"ll never forget the West End Zone, one game again FSU there was like 5 fights before the game even started. That was a day game.
FSU fans had to get a police escort to walk through the end zone as people were throwing beers on them as they walked through.

I could feel the stadium rocking under my feet last night. It was ******* electric. Best game I’ve ever been to in person.

Not only did the OB shake from fans jumping up and down it make this strange sound like nothing I have heard before or since. The sound was what just sent chills down your back. I still think about the upper deck men's bathroom on the home side where I could watch the game through a big rusted out hole in the Steel Girder while standing at the urinal. The OB was a Magical experiences.

This is 100% false. The lots directly around the OB were always packed and people would tailgate in the neighborhood yards starting early in the morning. People used to also tailgate after games at the OB while waiting for traffic to die down. Judging by the 08, you probably did not start going to games until the tail end of the OB, when frankly, there was not too much to tailgate for.

The 87' and 89' ND games are classic. The 86' OU game is a classic. the FSU wide rights are classic, the UDUB beating in 92' is classic, the Berlin comeback against UFAG in 03' is my best game ever at the OB.

Was in countless OB WEZ fiascos. ND and last night's second half are right up there. Put it this way: I ended up shirtless and my head nearly exploded. It took about 4 hours and 2 pounds of Cuban food to settle a throbbing headache created from yelling so hard.

The UFAG game game and tailgating was absolutely crazy for that game.
The tailgating at the OB was crazy as fans took over the complete neighbor hood.

The OB will always remain at the top of most Canes fans lists of all time best games/crowds had you had the opportunity to see football there .... and certainly it is deserved as there were historic program defining wins and championships won there ... the best games have been listed many times before and having been lucky enough to see many of them ther I concur ... that being said I feel that since the renovations and the recent changes that for the big games such as ND and FSU (or the famous GT torrential rainbowl) yesterday there was clearly the ghosts of OB crowd enthusiasm on full display .. as loud as the OB ever was .... and I can't express how glad I am to see Sebastian break the FSU spear at the beginning and hearing Soulja Boy played at the game ... old school OB Canes stuff .... these are the things that will help cement The Rock as the new place where opposing teams come to lose before a raucous fan base .... keep it up

Due to the stadium structure and materials, the OB rocked like no place else when it was packed and the crazies were out.

Lol. I had a huge headache also once I got home from the game.

That second half was something special

Orange bowl when Hester ran back opening KO for a TD....felt the orange bowl shake! Loudest I’ve ever heard a stadium....shockey fsu TD from Dorsey is second.....Bandy ND third! Hard rock is getting there....very nice upgrade

Love what they have done with the rock... but every time I see those Blue Club seats which always seem empty at the start of the game and start of second half I want to hurl ........
