After the game Richt said: "I’m thankful that most everybody came out of there without any kind of injury that I think would cost them playing time, or cost them the season, or even worse."

Why throw in the "even worse"? I hope i'm reading too much into this, but i'm worried that the "even worse" might be in reference to Bruce since why not just stop at "cost them the season" unless something happened recently to put that other possibility in mind? Hopefully it's just that they first thought the injury was more serious than it turned out but the initial fear led to him phrasing it the way he did, but who knows. Just struck me as something a coach wouldn't normally say.

Career ending injury is "even worse" than a season ending one. Take off the tin foil hat man, is to early in the season.

I think you're looking way too into this.

Yeah at no point I connected that. There is worse than season ending injuries in case you're unaware.

To me, something worse than a season-ending injury is like what happened to Lewis where it might take two or three years to get back to where the player had been or might never get back to that level. That's what worries, not that he won't ever play again but that he might have a career similar to ML.

Richt is just pulling a Pete and leading you here. He'll follow up his vague comment with an article with Susan in the Herald or a series of tweets getting you to stay tuned.

He's just recognizing that there's more to a football injury than lost playing time. Lots of players have had life changing football injuries.

It's a bit Golden-esque, but I for one don't think it's a bad idea that coaches recognize that players are people, and not just a path to Ws.

Why are so many facqits starting threads today? Jesucristo, this place is a toilet with these "new" posters and their kuntface threads.

I think you're on to something.
Notice how the propagandists at UM have not definitively stated what sidelined Bruce?
We've heard everything from tibia, fibula, ankle sprain, broken ankle, diabeetus feet to varicose veins.
Do you suppose he was abducted by aliens?
And I am not referring to the ones that mow the lawns on weekdays and play soccer at the local parks on
Sundays.
May be worth tweeting Susan Miller Dingbat, Matt PortoJohn and Mammary Navarro to see if they can get to the bottom of this.
