Sure it seems like a quick fix to get the offense going, but the problem is that any OC hired would ultimately still be running Richt's outdated offense. There may be a few new wrinkles here and there, but unless richt is willing to completely abandon/innovate his offensive philosophy it will continue to be the same old thing. The team had this issue under Golden. Everyone wanted No'D gone (rightfully so) but the defense he was running was essentially golden approved. As long as you have an ineffective coach at the helm not much is going to change. Also, richt still wants to call plays, which will not attract quality offensive coordinators. Playcalling is where coaches really make a name for themselves and audition for future head coaching gigs. So as long as Richt remains the stubborn over the hill coach who insists on doing everything his way, then hiring an offensive coordinator won't do much. This is just my opinion, so of course I could be completely wrong.
