I’ll have a more detailed write up on thoughts this weekend, but I do think there’s one thing we need to do more of: just run our offense.

We’ve seen it a few times in the CFP and during the season. We have momentum on O and then we throw in a trick play or formation that kills a drive. That was the case with the malicat and flea flicker last night.

Dawson’s been on it since the OSU game and to close out the season. There were a few times though that we had them on the ropes and killed our flow.

I think Mali cat has worked, I would keep that in the back pocket. Especially vs OSU I believe we went to it in a hurry up and caught OSU off the ball for an easy 5 yards.

Love the long drives but as we've seen in the last two games, they make it more likely that we'll incur penalties and turnovers. The more plays you run, the greater the chance that something will go wrong.
That's why I don't mind Dawson gambling now and then. Can't totally blame him for the execution.
Of course, the long drives do keep our D rested and the opponents' offense on the sidelines.

I could be wrong, but I have this funny feeling he has a short list of plays decided before game time that he MUST call at least once or twice during the game. And during the game he periodically refers to the list and says to himself, "Oh ****! I haven't called that play yet! Better call it now before I forget!"

My observation of the game is that we witnessed a battle after to colossal wins for both programs. Down goes Georgia and down goes OSU. This may not be the greatest team in Miami history but without a doubt it’s the greatest run in UM football history. ND, FLA, FSU, A&M, OSU,OLE MISS all in the same season. We’ve won not one but two bowl games and will playing home after 5 massive road trips. What a tremendous journey and im grateful to have been able to witness it.

This is not complaining because it’s win by any means necessary at the end of the day. But this team simply doesn’t know how to keep foot on the gas offensively. One game this season we kept our foot on gas and that was against Pitt. It has not come to bite us thankfully

It’s the opposite everyone was complaining about midseason lmao. He just has to adjust back *slightly* and we’re good.

Keep gashing and running our offense until they stop it. Then throw in the tendency breaker or trick play. But we were having no problems rushing and then flea flicker lol.

To be fair if Mali doesn't run forward and instead heads outside immediately that's 100% at LEAST a first down. Also Bell and I think Brockmeyer both got beat bad on that play which led to Mali getting tackled pretty much immediately. They get ther guys blocked and Mali may score on it if our WRs block their guys as well.

The flea flicker however was just nauseating. You're driving and gashing them and you do that. I get it, you assume the DBs and LBs are going to crash with how we're running it and if it leads to a TD we're all saying Dawson is a genius but teams are well aware of the trick plays by now. Just do what's working.

Re watching it now in the second half. We could’ve blown this team out. It was there. Missed insta lead to 9 points alone. We just catch these balls its.l not even close. We really had a bad game and still won. I know we were sick so I’m hoping that flu lead to what we saw.

I remember vs Florida we literally ran the ball 13 straight times or something stupid. And they couldn’t stop it once.

Yesterday the malicat on 3rd and 3. Unnecessary. Just hand it off we were gashing them. Fletcher and brown always fall fwd. or let Carson drop back.

The flea flicker was awful. Just awful

The wide open plays that our QB misses,...it is understandable when you put it into context.

They've learned to appreciate him and the offense more for the plays he is able to produce and just roll with that.

And we've been playing some pretty good teams the last few weeks as well. I think that plays a part.

You could almost hear OM thanking Dawson every time Beck dropped back. They knew their only answer to our run game was to beg us to pass....And Dawson obliged.
