On Texas Tech

I also have never met a Texas Tech fan. And being in the military I’ve been aquatinted with people from all over America. Same with Indiana though, never met an Indiana fan before. There’s actually a dude who goes to my gym that wears an Indiana hat, could be a bandwagon I have no clue. Also at my gym I met a die hard Canes fan. Like talked on the treadmill for 15 minutes straight and you know a die hard when you start talking specific plays, recruiting, etc.

They are the poster child for all the things that people hate about NIL. Limited program pedigree elevated by oil money buying players is what everyone claims to hate but somehow they always seem to point the finger at us.

I can't say we can really complain (all things considered) but it sure seems like they would get their fair share.

They… are. But people are being disingenuous and saying the established schools in that area (and around the country) aren’t worried about them when that’s just bull****, there has been a growing irritation with them for over a year now, this just threw gas on it.

A school in Texas with a massive donor who clearly is fine throwing his money at football has real potential to become a power, and the schools that have historically cleaned up recruiting that state do not want that. I don’t think that’s even debatable.

But no school will ever garner the amount of hate Miami did, and it’s for a very specific reason that we don’t have to discuss.
