Calling all the OL technical guys.

I haven’t rewatched the game, but from my seat in the stands I remember seeing quite a bit of pulling OL yesterday. Now, we’ve seen it before in spurts, but seemed more focused yesterday.

61, 63, and 78 were just some of the guys who stood out getting across formations and downfield. Pringle is also very comfortable in these playcalls waiting for the cutback and burst upfield.

Would love to continue to see more of this and plays off of it. Our Playaction game would be much better, too. Yes, it was a terrible defense, but I saw things that would transfer well to other opponents.

Credit where it’s due.

The running game has improved schematically alot since the first lose. Dawson is calling a lot of different stuff now. Idk why he was so defensive to the criticism at first, but he heard it and improved.

Does anyone have play charting stats that breakdown how often we have pulled OL (and how many) on called runs this year? Anecdotally, I think we made an adjustment from duo-heavy running after the UF game, and have been pulling OL quite a bit since then. Think the biggest difference is that now it's working more often than earlier in the year and we now have a RB in Pringle that fits hand-in-glove with those plays.

I do think we without a doubt have been pulling CiCI to the left side much more the last few games. Massive own goal not pulling him to the left a few times a game on runs every game since he's been here IMO.

…and it only took our bone headed coaches 10 games to figure that out.
