Any suggestions for a new OL coach? Searles is not good at coaching out personnel weaknesses. We need someone who is a real technician at the position. Any of you offensive line gurus have any suggestions?

Marcus Johnson at Miss State has done a good job and identifies some good talent on the OL.

Dwayne Ledford from NC State.

Maybe a similar move to Jess Simpson. An assistant in the NFL. Could have the same type of impact as Simpson from a technical standpoint. Just need to find the right guy thats not too far removed from college or not too old or just something that shows he can hit the ground running in recruiting because that's a huge part of the OL. We can't afford even 1 year where our recruiting is down on the OL.

He got let go during the Golden years for his having his OL under perform. Think about that, he wasn't up to Al Golden standars

Kehoe wasn't let go by Al Golden. Golden never fired anyone. But he wasn't retained by Richt, so you're not going to see Richt hire him back.

O-line coach Brian Ferentz from Iowa if you can steal him away from his dad (head coach). Four years with the NFL’s New England Patriots, recently recognized by ESPN.com as one of the top assistant coaches in the Big Ten Conference under the age of 40... 5 top 10 finishes in last 15 years, and perennial low class recruiting rank (have you been to Iowa?).
Rivals -->
49. IOWA
Ranks last 5 years: 40, 42, 59, 56, 51

Mann who ever it is better be good. My eye brow rised once I started looking at some of the teams Searels was the OL coach for.

Knowing Richt he will probably hire another safe former UGA coach.

I'm a fan of Allen Mogridge at FIU. Butch had him as a young TE/ST coach at UNC and brought him back when he was hired at FIU. The guy has been an OL coach at Buffalo, one year at UCF, and now two years at FIU (still only around 40 years old). He's a good up and coming OL coach (also learned multiple positions so he's very versatile) and has been recruiting in Florida for a while now as well.

Another guy that could be interesting is the assistant OL coach for the Dolphins in Chris Kuper. He's very young and played like 7 years in the league with now 3 years of NFL experience. One of those was only a offense quality control guy, but this year and last year he's been their assistant OL coach.

Just hire Butch - a defensive guru himself - and he'll select a great DLine coach.

Butch will ever have great defenses. Ever and always.

No. He sucked in his last stint here.
Ignorance. During Kehoe's last 2 years at UM he coached Ereck Flowers to being a 1st round pick, Jon Feliciano to a 4th round pick, and Brandon Linder to a 3rd round pick. How in the **** does that correlate to sucking? Searels hasn't developed anybody while he has been here. I'll take Kehoe right now.
