But yes, let's hire Butch lol. Why don't we hire 48-0 Randy as DC too? Seriously guys, we need a coach that can do more with less, not one who has one season with 10+ wins (and that team was loaded with pros). Butch can recruit a beastly team, no doubt. He is also cheap and available, but do we really want to be on probation again and maybe get the death penalty this time? We need a cerebral coach with great schemes. Golden is gone (hopefully), but we can't make the mistake again of getting a coach that plays bland pro-style schemes in 2014. Butch is a good back up plan if our other options don't work out.

1998 when we were recovering from real sanctions. Butch never lost to them again.

This... And remember Butch still played a better SOS than gordlen and still never produced the Worst D in miami history and kept us in contention...
 
i hated coker. butch got screwed out of a nc in 2000. if he stayed he would have won a few and he knows it and it kills him. i can't blame a college coach who was a super bowl dc for wanting to go to nfl. they all wanna take their shot.
 
I want someone who can get a job and doesn't have to work on ESPN2 LOL. Butch would go work for a USF type school in a heart beat, yet no one offers him. Why? Maybe because he is slimy and knew about what was going on at UNC? Or maybe because he recruited against Miami and its safety at Sean Taylor's funeral? Yeah, let's hire that guy. And while we're at it, we can hire Bobby Pertino as OC and Jim Leavitt as DC. I'm all for forgiveness, but we are ALREADY ON PROBATION. If anything else were to happen, Miami football would get the death penalty...

Butch should be coaching us tomorrow. Let him evaluate staff and players right away.
Guarantee we win Pitt and bowl game if we hire this man immediately.

Butch doesn't want to coach at a school like FIU. He wants to coach at a place where he can make a mark on the college football world. He wants the Miami job. He's hungry for redemption and he's willing to work for relatively cheap.

I'm not sure why some Miami fans are upset that he's actually available.
 
Every error prone, poorly executed, lackluster, tepid, flat, limp-**** performance Pillars puts out there makes any other homo sapien look like a better option.

It's always been no brainer...

Bring back Butch.
