I had promised myself in a bit of drunken anger after the bowl game that I wouldn't go to a game if Malik Rosier was our starting QB. Well, hey, I was ****ed and buzzed but if that's our QB(for now) well, I'm not letting that get in the way of watching my Canes in a stadium where I've thrice covered fights(two Pacquiao bouts and one with Saul Alvarez). That stadium is something else. And hey, a full weekend of hanging out with the fellas, watching the first weekend of college 'ball, as Marv Levy would say,'Where else would you rather be?'

But hey, its Hurricane season, from the moment this game was announced a few years ago I promised myself I'd go. And well, I believe we have a team that will make some noise. Last season to me was just the start of what could be a good run and I dont care who our QB is, across the board Miami is a better team than LSU. This is 2018 not 2008, Hurricanes should win this game, period

And if they do, they are set to get off to a quick start with some relatively easy games to follow. But to me, this first game is absolutely huge in a lot of ways. SEC opponent, national TV audience, chance to make a real statement in a season where the schedule is set up for a really big year. Richt was brought into stabilize this program and bring it back - its game like this he was hired to win, bottom line.

It's gonna be a great weekend - so please Malik, dont sh#t the bed

Originally, I was a group of 7 and this past weekend it went up to 10. Might be adding two more soon. Should be a solid Miami crowd.

thanks Buzz Killington, lol

That was pretty sobering....

After dropping some coin to go to Charlotte, I won’t go to another Canes game besides Ga Tech. Ga Tech is a 3hr drive so not bad at all and I got people in Atl. I felt victimized the same way Golden’s teams did when I spent money to go see them. I hope you get your moneys worth and we blow them out!

I suggested to my son that we should attend every Miami bowl game starting with the 2014, he agreed and we have. We survived the freezing rain in Shreveport, snow in El Paso and enjoyed Orlando. Last year he said that we would **** the bed against Wisconsin and said "Pops, just save the money" and unfortunately I agreed.

Like you, when this game was announced we agreed we would attend and we have purchased our tickets and will attend with 3 friends flying in from Miami (probably FLL). We as well are very optimistic regarding the players returning with game experience (even Malik with 1 year as a starter) and the expected contributors from the 2018 recruiting class (including both #15).

I am hoping we don't make an all american out of the buckeye transfer, like we did the most of the pedestrian opposing QBs last year.

To all the Canes fam that is going to Dallas, been there a few times for work. Pecan Lodge is hands down the best BBQ place there, and for me the best of all the places I’ve been to throughout Texas.
If any cigar smokers out there (was a national sales manager for 4 years in the industry hence my travels) head over to Blue Smoke of Dallas ask for Jay tell him Fernie sent you. He will take care of you, couple of other cool places for a smoke around there, hit me up if you want to know.

And again you want legit and the best bbq there Pecan Lodge trust me

Naturally, ill be there.

I’m still looking at about 45-50k LSU fans vs about 10-15k UM fans.

Does anyone know how many tickets were allotted and sold through our ticket office?

My guesstimate would be to take that number and the add 20% that bought elsewhere, and it’ll give you a good idea.

I’m guessing here, unless someone knows somebody in the admin and/or ticket office that is willing to divulge, that we sold about 10k or fewer tickets, but in that general range. Therefore that’s how I come at the 10,000 - 15,000 number

Either way, I don’t think there’s any doubt we will be heavily outnumbered
