Officially official-Banda gone

Recruiting will suffer, but like I’ve been saying Idc how many 5 stars you bring in, if they don’t play like it, what difference does it make?

Wonder what Utah State was thinking when they decided to hire Panda. Yep that’s our guy right there. We want someone from Mandy’s corching tree. 550 yards on the ground against BYU and UNC. Make the **** hire now.

Works for me.

I’ve never begrudged someone getting an opportunity to improve themselves -,unless they’re an *** kissing doofus. Banda obviously had to interview for the position against others and was chosen as the best candidate for the job. And it doesn’t seem there were any connections that may have given him an advantage over others.

He’s taking advantage of an opportunity so best of luck to him and his family.

He was one of, if not our best recruiters. Not ishing on him for that. Best of luck to him, hope we get a dawg to take his spot.

No doubt, he obviously has career goals so good for him. I for one don't know that I would make the decision to move from South Florida to someplace like Utah, no matter how good the package being thrown at me...but you know, that's just me.

Maybe our safeties will develop better. Really disappointed how Hall and Carter have progressed.

It is a loss contingent on who we bring in. What made me pause for a second was it is pretty much unanimous no one wants Baker around. Banda left to go call plays and be a DC. IF Manny was canning baker and that decision was made, I would have assumed the job goes to Banda, Banda has been Mannys boy for ages, why wouldn't it. So worst case scenario Banda got the offer, gave Manny an ultimatum and Manny said nah I am going with Baker... Second worst case, he tells him no decision on Baker but even if he is fired I cant give you the job, and best case, he told him Baker fired, I am clearing out house, dont want it to seem like you are fired so take a promotion elsewhere.

Someone else said it, this is Manny's D with his hand picked coaches. Firing everyone is not a good look on him or a good PR move. BUT if one guy (banda) got poached for a promotion (looks fine) one guy (stroud) had some serious medical issues and needed to step down (looks fine) and you are left with firing one or maybe two position coaches, one who failed to recruit and whos room regressed throughout the year and one whose defense looked like dog ****, the perception just looks better.

so you see with the fins announcing Chan resigned a day after Flores said all would be back refuting the fired reports. its pretty clear that sometimes coaches allow mutual parting of ways (we did this with Enos too) vs you're fired approach bc they respect the man and want to have him leave on his own terms vs the embarrassment of getting fired

You could change progressed to regressed. Carter has always been iffy

Hall has definitely taken a step back year over year since he got here
Carter and Hall both came in as decent prospects with hype. Neither have done much since arriving so can't say regressed because they never showed anything to start.

Hall had hype. I can’t say Carter was on that level but he had some solid programs on him.

I saw Hall play in HS and spring game his first year. He used to be so fast and instinctual with head hunter and ball hawk mentality. Now he looks lost and lethargic. Something is off
