We don't have an AD that wants to win, like at UF

the same AD who hired ron zook and muschamp... the model for all AD's

The same AD who hired Urban Meyer. You know, one of the best coaches in the game. He also hired Billy Donovan. He knows how to run an athletic department.

We went from an AD in Sam Jankovich to guys like Dave Maggard, Paul Dee and Fake James. That is a precipitous fall.

Paul Dee was up there with Sam, God Bless his soul. Don't discredit that man.

Paul Dee was an abject disaster as an AD. Look at his hires and extensions and if you come to the conclusion that he was in the same category as Sam Jankovich, you have horrendous judgment.

Yep.
Fourteen years ago we had very strong football, basketball an baseball programs.
The envy of many programs.
And Paul Dee did nothing to build on those programs.
Ibis Wingz nails it, and I would also add that the constant employee turnover in the athletic department
probably was one of the root causes of the Shapiro fiasco.
He was a total fail as an AD.

Hiring Blake was a lot better than having inept Kirby Hocutt (cutt & run) who hired Golden & conveniently didn't tell him of the impending doom OR MR. What's his Name (after Hocutt) who fled to Nebraska as soon as the Shapiro thing came to light (you know the one who met boosters at HC functions & couldn't get a name straight & clearly had no interest in being there? Anyone remember him? I sure do. Be careful what you wish for.

I don't blame him for being a retarded puppet. I blame the admin and president for hiring him and micromanaging.

Shawn Eichorst was the guys name.

Again we're not trying to simply hire an improvement (i.e. someone slightly better than Kirby) we're trying to get someone competent and passionate about athletics.

Eichorst was the one who hired Larranaga. At least he did that during his brief time here.
