10/1 I had a strong sense we would lose this game and we did. First half saw the defense give up a bunch of points and yards. We were getting gashed consistently. 2nd half the defense tightened up a bit, but the offense collapsed. There's always at lease one aspect of the team that fails under golden. It happens in almost every game. Either the offense or defense or special teams just don't show up. Sometimes as was the case today it was the defense in the first half and the offense in the second half. Golden can never coach a complete game. This was a bad loss and if not for luck we would be 2-2 right now. Golden's seat is now a very hot 1500F. We play FSU and we will most likely lose that game as well. Things are not looking good for Al. In year 5 it's simply unacceptable to lose to a team like Cincy. The Golden era needs to end.
9/19 Nebraska Game Analysis: Al Golden narrowly escaped what would have been a horrendous defeat. Team played well but gave up a 20+ lead with 8 minutes left in the game. Golden was on the verge of proving his detractors (myself included) wrong but proceeded to trip over himself and stumbled to a win. Very similar to FSU last year aside from the win. Seems like golden can't help himself but to play it safe when he's got a lead. Anyway I'm gonna have to keep the temperature the same. It should go up but unfortunately a win is a win.
9/12 FAU Game Analysis: Golden's seat is at 500F. This was one of the most pathetic performances I've ever seen. Offense, Defense and Special teams was horrendous. If we play like this against Nebraska we will get blown out. We couldn't put away an FAU team that lost their starting QB, a RB, turned the ball over 5 times and killed themselves with penalties numerous times. All around failure regardless of the final score. Golden should be fired after the game.
Next game: Nebraska.
9/6 Post Bethune Cookman Game Analysis: 90F
With one in the books, Al Golden's seat remains the same as it was before the season started 90F. While some are excited about what they saw the fact that it was Bethune Cookman doesn't move the needle.
8/31 In this thread we track Al Golden's hot seat where every loss or win will change the temperature under his ***.
As it stands now I'd say his seat is around 90 degrees.
By the end of the season I expect it to be like this
