I think a lot of the fan base a skewed expectation of how the O will look this up coming season. A lot of ppl here and throughout the fan base has been clamoring for a spread, high tempo, high number of plays attack. Enos is not bringing that here.

In the the link was all offensive highlights. And as you can see his offense is a pro multiple..very similar to what jedd Fisch ran while he was here. The thing I loved about Jedds attack was the different ways he would create deep shots & and when he chose to do so. Depending on field position and momentum in the game..

Other than the looks Enos and the bama staff presented the one thing that popped off the screen immediately is the execution up front. That line created constant movement and never got pushed back. This brings me to my conclusion, if we don’t get the execution up front that we need this multiple offense can get very stagnant.

Skill position wise we stack up against anybody. This seasons offens will live or die with the production we get up front. Personally I prefer a multiple offense over a spread because the principles within are hard to game plan for and stop unlike a spread. In a spread if you can just out talent a team your good, but from week to week that is not a realistic formula

I don't think anyone has an absolutely clear idea of what we'll look like on offense throughout the season. We can watch all of Enos' old games and they will only provide a glimpse. If he's worth what we hope he's worth, the main thing to look for is a more varied attack. The last 3 years set an incredibly low bar, but I think it's still understated how, for the most part (there were moments of significant wrinkles, like 5WR vs Cuse at home), we basically just "lined up and tried to out-execute" the opponent whether they knew what we were doing or not.

What i'll specifically look for are 3rd down conversion rate and # of plays/game. We were otherworldly bad in both throughout Richt's tenure.

This is why I was glad to hear some of the O line was getting help from Bryant Mckinnie. I was doubly pleased to hear they had reached out to him. That says a lot about their desire to be their best. If that group performs well and we get good QB play, this could be one of those seasons where we exceed expectations.

I feel very comfortable with our offense this year . The o line will be better and won’t be hindered with stagnant play calling. The real expectations of this team is 10 wins or better this year . The way the defense has played , the offense doesn’t need to be a top 10 offense. I feel Miami can get 10 wins this year with solid D and a top 50 offense.

You're saying that the reason spread teams are good is because they have more talent than other teams but that "multiple offense" teams are good because they're harder to game plan for and stop . . . ?

What your seeing Bama run is exactly what Enos said we will run. The spread coast. Spreading the defense out horizontally with a west coast passing concept. The only difference is they have the linemen to be more smashmouth and we will be more finesse. The spread was created for teams like us without an elite oline. With Tate at QB we will see an offense like LJ8 at Louisville. Still spread, still west coast passing concept but with a lot more RPOs and a little more vertical routes to create lanes if the QB has to take off and run.

We’ve been bad in the 3rd down department for a number of years tbh. The goal should be to stay out of 3rd n long which we didn’t do a good job of last year. a lot of that is play calling and a lot of it is execution.

I think it’s pretty evident what kind of O we will be running. If the oline performs the same it won’t matter the OC Steve Walsh or Todd mcvey

Yes. Spread teams throw the same principles at you all game. It’s not much variation. You watch Clemson for example I’m never wowed by the play design. They just execute what they do at a very high level with very good talent

Multiple teams in the other hand use multiple formations, shifts and window dressing. I could be a 4 wide spread zone read style look one drive, then two back two tights the next drive but all using the same formation just different personnel. Personally I’d find that much harder to stop and game plan against. You look at a team like Wisconsin, bama, LSU last year.

As a d coordinator I’d rather face a spread team with tempo than a multiple offense that throws different looks at you all game.

U must not know what the spread is. It was invented to level the playing field for teams with less talent.
As far as on the LOS, yes. But spread offenses try to get their playmakers in space as much as possible. Ie not having to depend on dominating up front for 60 min

Exactly. The spread was created to neutralize LoS.

Not going to expect anything except some type of improvement over the last couple of years.no more one good scoring drive mixed in between a bunch of 3 and outs and a shank.
