As we know the running game could use some tweaks! From an X & O standpoint what are the pros & cons of widening splits and does it change passing game

My guess is more holding calls.

When you keep everyone in tight it’s less likely hold?

Look at the one play Martinez did bounce out and Horton held.

This has to be the reasoning. Toss plays etc.. make lineman move laterally and at times reach to block.

Listen it’s going to tell all. It’s gotta improve to make the type of run we want. Also just to be able to play a complete game.

I dont know the exact reason but I'm sure its a combination of the scheme and the splits. Teams run it all the time fine with worse o-lineman.

No push and running straight into the line over and over for like one yard is not taking us anywhere, yet we keep doing it like a miracle is going to happen.

Even when an opening forms to break outside, our runners head back to the clogged middle. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
