Number 2 in the AP

What the **** does this poll have to do with “going conservative” against ND, UF, and FSU that made sure blowout (or at worst comfortable) wins nail biters?

Some of you CIS pretzel's need to spend more time unraveling your fandom eyes so you can stop spinning other fans observations and critiques that’s front and center for ALL TO SEE…

I didn’t read any of you chest thumping and saying childish chit in K9’s Thread and he basically said what I (and) others said…

Credibility is definitely a premium up in this camp…

Yeah, and @CaneTheGaytors made a good point too about how we could possibly see them in the ACC ship. I just checked and UVA and GT don’t play each other either…so that will be interesting if we all continue to win out.
Pretty sure record vs common opponents comes into play somewhere. Probably in this case.
Then I think margin of victory is also a measure somewhere too…

Disgusting

It’s funnier to me if they remain mired in mediocrity forever. That is the real football ****. Always finishing ranked in the low 20s, thinking success is just around the corner , giving bad coaches far more time than they deserve. My friend, I would rather have had some 1 win seasons and the entire program get blown up then year after year of 7-8 win seasons, thinking we just need one more player or a better assistant coach to be competitive for a title.

Yeah, it's an interesting set of tiebreaker rules. I looked it up because I wasn't sure, and apparently overall ranking doesn't matter much, at least not until they get through a bunch of three-team tiebreakers first involving the common opponents.

Pitt, VT, and Syracuse are the common opponents we have with both GT and UVA this year, btw.

Three (or more) Team Tie
a. Combined head-to-head win-percentage among the tied teams if all tied teams are common opponents.
b. If all tied teams are not common opponents, the tied team that defeated each of the other tied teams.i. If all tied teams are not common opponents and no tied team defeated each of the other tied teams, but a tied team lost to each of the other tied teams, such team shall be eliminated and removed from the tie.
c. Win-percentage against all common opponents.
d. Win-percentage against common opponents based upon their order of finish (overall conference win percentage, with ties broken) and proceeding through other common opponents based upon their order of finish.
e. Combined win-percentage of conference opponents.
f. The tied team with the highest ranking by the Team Rating Score metric provided by SportSource Analytics following the conclusion of regular season games.
g. The participant shall be chosen by a draw as administered by the Commissioner or Commissioner’s designee.

I get it. But when you truly hate a team as much as I hate them, there's nothing better than watching them suffer from a loss week after week. I don't even care to think that far ahead.

What is the justification for AP voters putting OSU over Miami? I'm talking about as of THIS week. Our body of work is undeniably better than OSU's.

Miami is the only team in the nation with wins over 3 teams ranked in THEIR POLL.

OSU's best win, and only win over a ranked opponent so far, was over a team the AP voters just DROPPED from THEIR POLL.

Does the eye test carry more weight than the poll THEY VOTE IN?

If it doesn't, then what's the excuse?

If it does, then is there a more dominant unit in college football than our offensive line? Yes. Our defensive line. They both ace the eye test.

I'm not even trying to act like OSU sucks. I'm just wondering if anyone can think of ANY reason to justify them being ranked ahead of us this week.

Y’all are giving Ohio State much too much credit. I like Oregon over that anemic offense. I wouldn’t be upset to have Oregon as #1 but I don’t see the hype in Ohio State. Regardless of the previous season.

Justification? They haven’t lost a game since winning the national championship. I can’t complain they get the benefit of the doubt this season. Lots of people think we are the best team in cfb, but as the saying goes, “to be the man you’ve got to beat the man.”

Can you imagine beating

Notre Dame
Florida
Florida State

And Ohio State in the National Championship in Hard Rock?

It could be considered the greatest season in UM history **** yeah i just went waaaaay ahead of myself

Okay i am gonna go sit my *** down somewhere now
This would be the revenge tour with an exclamation point if the Canes get and beat Ohio State in the title game!

Dang, it would be in Miami too! Woah, a man dream for now and make reality in 3 months.
Great to be a Cane
