i'm curious to read other's thoughts on this coming NSD. My question is a simple one.

a. Do you think we close strong, move up in the recruiting rankings and walk away impressed with Richt's class.

b. Do you think it's a predicatble close and we stay somewhat where we are in the rankings with a few expected hits and misses.

c. Do you think we **** the bed, lose out on some current commits, the ones we've been wanting and ultimately fall in the recruiting rankings.

i think he closes like a beast and we all walk away impressed. i had enough of clouds and negative recruiting with the last guy. i believe this is his opportunity to excel. he won't miss

I personally believe we close with a few surprises. Both good and bad. We lose one or two and we gain one or two.

Finishing our season strong with a bowl win could bring huge momentum. Then consider the possibility of Jimbo leaving could open the door for a couple guys that have us second on their list.

Our class is okay so far. I like what I see but on paper but we need more Offensive Lineman and CBs. Let's get these young bulls into Coral Gables and coach em up, develop them and win the ACC next year.

We do that, 2018 is ours. I can see a top 3 class for sure

I also think Miami finishes with a good class, so on NSD I am gonna have my CANESHADES ON!

Yup that's right shout out to them boys doing their thing, stay strong fellas.

Go Canes

There will 1-3 surprises. #8- #12 finish imo....possibly higher depending on final evaluations and playrs earning more stars.

I am optimistic. There are a couple of holes in this recruiting class we need to fill, mainly CB and OL. Looks like we are in the mix for some big time WR prospects. We will see how this staff closes this year, but until proven otherwise I have faith.

my guess is somewhere between A and B. We should grab 1 or 2 player to give us a nice bump in the rankings, but not a top 5 class. Also if we can finish 8-4 with a nice win streak vs 6-6 would make a big difference in terms of momentum.

C.

My glasses are black. Too many years of dumbfounding idiocy and failure to feel good about anything croot-wise.

I fell for the banana in the tailpipe trick thinking we would have a better season given the recipe of an offensive minded coach and a change in strategy on defense. I'm not going to make the same mistake in recruiting. I'll go with C as the baseline expectation.

Somewhere between B and C. There are three glaring areas of need that will ultimately determine whether this class met or failed to meet expectations come NSD...

OL
CB
WR

Not only do we need to keep Donaldson committed, but we need two more blue-chippers to join him along the OL. If we're ever going to land nationally coveted talent from American Heritage, now would be a good time to start with Slaton and Herbert. Certainly not holding my breath on that, though, with our track record there.

CB and WR recruiting have been an absolute mess. Two studs (Henderson/Edwards) have left the class at corner and we've lost every head-to-head battle with UF at this position in this cycle. At receiver, early evaluations were botched (Scott was justifiably pushed out and it seems Dingle is next) and all our hopes are riding on Holloman/Smith. Landing both would be enormous. Getting only one could still be acceptable depending on how we fill out the rest of our WR class. Landing neither? Complete disaster.

We have some studs in the class (Donaldson, Johnson, Perry, Dallas, Bandy, Garvin), but the blue-chip ratio is still lacking. The staff is going to need to clean up at OL/CB/WR down the stretch for this class to be a success. We haven't yet seen the type of results on the trail we expected with the first-year bump, but there's time to fix that.

My glasses are, and forever will be, ORANGE AND MOTHER ******* GREEN.

We're getting everyone. U hear me? EVERYYONEEE!

My glass will be filled with Crown XR, so it's good either way. Have to say I'm a little perturbed with all the Donaldson and D.J. Johnson speculation lately. I thought those 2 guys were definite Cane locks. Hope we keep them and close strong with a few suprises in our favor. Go Canes!

My glasses are realistic. Our average recruiting class the last decade is about 17th. I think we will finished in the top 15, we will lose some more guys and back fill them with high ceiling 3* recruits. It's really the same **** every year. We have an occasional year where we finish with a top 10 class, but it's only happened 3 times since 2005

I'll go with orange & green.

Richt is a proven recruiter, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. I expect some NSD surprises like Bobbah Bowden used to pull off.

Class as it is right now is just OK. The Defensive side is stellar borderline elite CB haul withstanding.

The offensive side is what gives me a case of the smh. Where's the speed ? The explosion? No one scares me on that side of the ball except Perry. Donaldson is a stud, and we can finish strong w OL, but the RB (even w Burns and Mac) and WR spots are leaving a lot to be desired.

Burns & A-Mac are an Elite haul. You're nuts. Wr yes it's weak right now. I still think we add Smith or Holloman & Harley.

Two oft injured Backs ? I agree, they are elite IF healthy.

They're the goods, but odds are they won't stay healthy while here. Would love to be wrong. I'd also prefer Lemons over both. I'd love to see us help him out w his grades somehow to secure his commitment.

Elite haul if healthy is what im going off of. Lemons seems like a mental case.
