Winning your conference should have more value than a specific loss, or win. Alabama does not and should not be in the CFP. They didn’t win their division, let alone their conference. I would more accept a two-loss Ohio State team that beat undefeated Wisconsin for the Big 10 championship than Alabama.
Fail to win your conference should automatically disqualify a team. Period.
And if a conference has two great teams playing for their title, so be it. Tough luck. Someone has to lose.
