Apparently UGA felt they needed to give the majority of their staff a raise.
Three of Georgia's assistant coaches have had their contracts extended by one year. The program executed extensions with offensive line coach Matt Luke (ext. thru 2023 season), inside linebackers coach Glenn Schumann, (ext. thru 2022 season) and defensive line coach Tray Scott (ext. thru 2022 season).
Luke currently makes $900K, the amount of the extension is not known at this time.
Schumann and Scott currently make $600K, the amount of their increase is also not known at this time.
This spring, DC Dan Lanning received an increase from $1.25 million to $1.8 million when Sark tried to hire him away to Texas.
Dell McGee, RB coach , received an increase of $125K to bring his salary up to $800K when Auburn expressed interest in hiring him away.
Todd Hartley, TE coach, also received an increase of $50K, bringing his salary up to $450K.
