Looks like ESPN took the 7 day option with Miami ND. Gametime is TBA, my question is though, would Herby and Fowler call the same team twice in a row? Looks like win or lose this weekend the game could very well be at 3:30 with some Big12 nonsense on at prime time. Thoughts?

It's not without precedent, so yes hypothetically if ND/MIA both win on saturday
 
If we and ND win this weekend, gameday will be in Miami next week. Regardless of the time, this will be the big game of the weekend. Last week Penn State and Ohio State was gameday and a 3:30pm game.
 
The Norte Dame game could still be 3:30 even if both teams win this Saturday. The prior example cited regarding PSU/OSU confirms that.


....but I think it will be such a compelling story, with such incredible hype leading up to the game, that the network would feel that our game would generate the best combination of ratings and therefore ROI for their company.

Better than 90% chance it happens under that scenario.

Remember who we are and how the rest of the nation loves to hate us. Need to win this Saturday first, though.
 
If both of us win, it's a night game, guaranteed. Ratings bonanza.

If we lose and they win, still probably a night game.

If we win against VT and they lose, 3:30 game?

Disagree. The PSU/OSU game is very regionalized in terms of appeal. ND and Miami, otoh, has complete national appeal.
