@ Florida,
Providence (Neutral), and
Illinois

3 Toughest games by far.

Florida lost Patric Young (11.0 PPG, 6.2 RPG, 1.1 BPG), Casey Prather (13.8 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 1.6 APG), Scottie Wilbekin (13.1 PPG, 2.4 APG, 3.6 RPG) and Will Yeguete (4.9 PPG, 5.2 RPG, 1.2 APG). Young, Prather and Wilbekin were starters. Yeguete played 23 MPG. Dorian Finney-Smith and Michael Frazier II still remain.

They lost a good chunk of their talent from that team last year that went 36-3 (18-0).

Illinois lost Joseph Bertrand (8.5 PPG, 3.8 RPG, .8 APG) and Jon Ekey (7.3 PPG and 4.8 RPG). They still have Rice and Abrams, the best 2 on that team.

They return their best two players from a team that went 20-15 (7-11).

Providence lost Bryce Cotton (21.8 PPG, 3.5 RPG, 5.9 APG), Kadeem Batts (12.3 PPG, 7.4 RPG, 1.2 APG) and Josh Fortune via Transfer (8.4 PPG, 3.0 RPG, 2.1 APG). They still have Tyler Harris (brother of Tobias, go Strong Island) and LaDontae Henton.

This game is interesting because Harris and Henton are really good. They went 23-12 (10-8) and they will be pretty good this year IMO.

The home schedule is under whelming. I wish they would have had at least one big time home game outside of conference

Well, in a sense, yes, there's no massive teams in there (it's generally tough to get them to Coral Gables, FWIW), but Illinois is another potential top 25 team and also a rematch from our NCAA run a couple of years back. Is it getting drawn against Michigan or Michigan State? No. But it's a pretty solid matchup, and the non-power conference teams are significantly better.

At least we know that we get Florida next year. I'd also expect a return game from Charlotte, who while not a big team, returns their top five scorers this year (plus adding Florida transfer Braxton Ogbueze), and only two of those players are seniors, so they could be solid as well.
