New qb take...

Certain players have a knack for performing in games especially high stake high pressure games and at practice there so so. Martel has game time focus some call it the it factor.

I've kept my choice silent he's a gamer ( adult) who's game raises as the battle rages on and hit and bloodied draws him in to compete more intensely.

He's always been my choice , he wasn't picked to pine he came here to take the fight to our opponents and not be rattled as QB's from last year have.

We said the SAME EXACT THING about Rosier in 2017 and how did that work out? Where was the "it' factor when we had to play actual teams.

Luckily for fans who only want the Canes to win...the coaches will select whoever gives them the best chance to win.

Some of the logic being used here by posters to promote whatever opinion they may have is "unFingbelievable"

8/24 cannot get here fast enough

Ok then never ever get a QB with these attributes I speak of just go with a kids who can throw and are mentally kids , are we always going to compare to Rosier is every experience gamer going to be Rosier are we to black ball all these QB ;s ?

You can tell he got the IT factor from mop up duty highlights? lol. Just joking Go lol

He if it's Martel , make sure you NEG him to death , tear him apart like many will do so we can stay in the position we're in. I'm not here to fight I shared my choice that was all.

If it's one of the others I will jump on and support them wholeheartedly and won't tear them apart , we need to beat Fla gayturds and having even a HINT of deception or weakness in team unity we'll be 0-1 it's our choice.

I'm in no matter what ready to man up and will have not even one bit of deception or questioning in the huddle , I really hope these kids really have there heads on straight with ONE TEAM mentality or this game will be a waste.

Tate won't be starting.

At this point, they are putting in plays that'll be our base offense. They cannot and will not change the entire offense for one week just to try and get one win. If we had a veteran OL, it would be a stretch, but **** no with the inexperience we have there.

Tate may get some action, but this is a two player race right now.

LOL. Tate is the starter.

So if Jarren is the best the not starting him against UF is fair??

how does that logic work out
I'm impartial here but I will say that it isn't Manny's job to seem "fair". His job is to win games by any means necessary within the rules. If the head coach thinks that Perry or Martell are better options for the Florida game and give us a better chance to win then I'm fine with it. Sometimes you have to think outside the box.

Tate has never started a college game either man!! I swear i think this Virus manny is talking about has permeated itself to the fans.
Did you read his post? He said that if Williams wins the job he sees Perry transferring and Martell coming in for special packages.

As far as starting vs UF, He would rather Perry or Martell start even if Williams won the job because of Kosi's experience and Tate's mobility. I don't see anything sinister about that.

#1 and #2 will stay obviously #3 gone sorry to say it is what it is.

My only concern is team unity , this is our biggest threat come Aug 24th if we are weak and just bobble we're together we'll be bobble heading gayturds below the belt.

Our flipping them over and ramming in home.

It's the teams choice.

We need to start the guy that can throw the ball the best.UiF will have true freshmen and guys that have no starts back there trying to keep up with our TE’s and WR.

Just give me the guy that can get the ball to our guys in space.I don’t need a guy that can throw a ball 80 yds or through a wall.15 yds in the right place to the receivers is all I’m asking for.
Exactly. Given our still developing Oline, we need the QB who's going to make the quick 2nd or 3rd reads, protect the ball, and let our playmakers do their jobs. We don't need a gunslinger, we need a point guard. Who among the three is that? Don't know. Hope Enos makes the right choice.

Maretll is Manny's safest personal choice. From this standpoint:

You get the high profile, ex-OSU recruit with the big HS rep, you don't start him, and lose to UF! UM fans and "national experts" will be all over him.

I have no preferred choice other than whichever will be best per the coach's evaluation. So this isn't an anti-Tate thing on my part. However, you made a statement about Martell based on pretty much nothing. You attributed a "knack for performing" and "game time focus" and the "it factor"....yet he's done nothing but mop up duty in his career thus far. You have nothing more to base that on than would "fans" of the other two QBs.

I remember when Diaz first became head coach and was asked what type of offense or offensive coordinator he wanted. He said he wanted the kind that would give him headaches as a defensive coordinator. And my guess is that is the same thing he is looking for at QB - the type of guy he would most hate to face as a DC. That's why i think it was probably Tate's job to lose from the get-go since he's the guy who even if you call the right defensive play and the defensive line dominates the offensive line and all the receivers are covered, he can still somehow find a way to move the chains and at the same time deliver a soul-crushing blow to the morale of the defense.

If Manny REALLY and TRULY wanted an OC that gave him headaches then he probably should have hired Wisconsin's OC! Lol

i have always felt this with tate. maybe the other guys throw a better ball but you have to give this kid the chance to see if he can create opportunities with his ability to improvise. if he can't do it you go to the next man up.
