STRENGTHS: Displays good length and speed at the WR position. Demonstrates quickness out of breaks as a route runner and after the catch to move the chains. Will mix it up over the middle and competes in traffic. Shows good hands and the ability to pluck the ball away from his frame. Will break tackles after the catch showing wiry strength. … AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT: Needs to add weight and strength. We question his ability to break press early on at the next level. Not a precision route runner at this stage. … BOTTOM LINE: Martin has attractable size, ball skills and overall athleticism. Gaining strength and polishing his route running skills should enhance his skills for the next level

Tavares Martin officially got offer Sunday after u*** game
-on coach Carroll "I like him. He's straight up. I like the way he carries himself, how he approaches me as a player and as a young man."
-u*** game was great gave miami a little boost but its eary and anything can happen
-on what he wants in a program "Somewhere I can get a good degree, where I can make a huge impact right away. If you're going to recruit me I don't want to waste my talent being behind somebody. I want to work to get onto the field." (kind of an oxymoron if your working hard enough you will get on the field)
-him and his dad will visit a Miami game
*Last season Martin finished with 52 receptions for 962 yards with nine touchdowns
