But do you want an open market free for all? To me this can turn into a worse system than we have now.You think the Bama’s and the Clemson’s and UGA’s of the world are not gonna look at this and open up the bag vaults to make sure the top atheletes are part of their programs.
This portal thing can be good because it will stop the lying and non-sensical promises coaches are making to kids and give them a chance to go to places where they have a chance to play but on the other side it has a chance to create a system of guys getting together to go play for one team to create a “super” team type scenario.
I’m glad that kids have a means to say “ ***** you” to coaches that have lied to them or promised playing time or whatever their reasons are for wanting to transfer but I’m not sure I want to see a system that lets kids run free without any type of restrictions because it will cause a lot of CFB teams to have no shot at being competitive and will benefit only a few.
It goes to the old saying “ be careful what you wish for” cause having kids transferring without repercussions can cause a lot of different scenarios that might ***** up CFB as we know it...
