NCAA suspends rule changes for non-coach recruiters

So recruiting contact will, again, be limited to coaches only. This will stop the run on high school coaches becoming "administrators" at other schools.

They also suspended a rule on printed materials sent to recruits, but I'm not sure what that means.

The no-limit text messaging is still in effect.

I think this is a significant development, particularly, like Gcane mentioned, for Alabama. Their recent hiring spree, getting coaches to take titles far below their current ones (though for more money), was obviously in preparation for this.

They will send them out to recruit.. whats the NCAA going to do? investigate an SEC schoo? HAH!

I hope it sticks, I think this was a bad idea in the first place. While the Keefs of the recruiting world probably would have loved to hear from a staff 25 times a day I doubt the majority of highly recruited prospects would have appreciated it. Then again it has been a while since I was a teenager so I could be wrong.
