Just don't tell anyone here that VT might be a good team. Fuente, roster upheaval, Bud Foster, we should have beaten them last year...the whole deal.
 
First of all, while they may have been missing some players, the majority of VT's starters on offense (besides Hooker) played. Ncst has arguably the worst defense in the ACC. VT averaged 8 yards per rush. They attempted 17 passes and their two passing TDs were 50/50 jump balls in the endzone. Also, while their 2nd string QB may have gone down in the 1st half, he actually came back in and led a scoring drive in the 3rd quarter. Their defense was ok, but keep in mind they were facing an Ncst team led by a QB who wasn't good enough to play for the team we just beat by 42. Bottom line, Ncst is bad. VT is slightly above average this season due to covid. Any normal year, they're a .500 team at best. We're gonna stomp them. Quit thinking of those analog CANES teams of the past two seasons. This CANES team is not losing to VT.

Pitt seems to be the team that we are going to have to really focus on the little things. Shore up penalties and ball security, because they won't be a team to beat themselves. That's what I have gotten out of watching them. Not saying if we execute the way we did Saturday we won't beat them down. They just seem to be a good fundamental focused team.

I don't think Pitt is this super fundamentally sound team. They just have an incredible DL, and they get a ton of pressure and create havoc with their front 4. Any team with a DL like that is going to be a problem for everyone.

That's fair. probably getting a bit ahead of myself with looking down our schedule and who they have actually played.
